Our ethos is to ensure that every funeral we conduct is tailored to reflect the life of each individual, and the wishes of their family and friends. As such, the exact cost of a funeral will depend on your specific wishes and the level of service that you require.
To give you a guideline however, the starting price of a typical local cremation funeral, to include a hearse only and a plain oak-finished coffin for a service at the crematorium, is £1,795* + third-party fees (*includes £100 prompt payment discount)
In line with SAIF's Code of Practice, and the principles of the Fair Funerals Pledge, we also provide a Simple Funeral package at £1,550 + third-party fees
For full details of our price schedules, and some examples of local third-party fees, please click the buttons below. We have also set out three 'package' arrangements, in order to give you a realistic idea of what you could expect to pay for a typical simple, green or traditional church funeral.
We apply the same tailor-made focus to our pre-arranged plans as we do for 'at-need' funerals.
Our Independent Way Plan offers these benefits:
Tailor-made to your specific wishes
The price of our services in the plan is fully guaranteed
Reassurance that your money is held securely in the Golden Charter Trust, and that the plan is administered by Golden Charter who are registered with the Funeral Planning Authority (FPA)
Absolute transparency about what is, and what isn't covered by the plan, and about all fees payable (Golden Charter's administration fee £249 + our arrangement fee £95)

We are so pleased that there is now the option for families to set up a dedicated tribute website to the person who has died that will not only provide tributes and a funeral notice, but also the option for family and friends to contribute directly toward funeral costs rather than charity donations.
